The Presidency has said despite the disappointment of the election postponement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the All Progressives Congress (APC) will not boycott the election.

The senior special assistant to the president on national assembly matters, Senator Ita Enang, made this statement while reacting to the rumour that the ruling party might pull out of the February 23 poll.

Enang, who made this statement during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Dailyon Wednesday, February 20, also accused INEC of having 'unholy alliances' with some people in the opposition.

He said: “What we are doing is building the confidence, our party will tell the truth as it is, but we decided to go in for the elections because the people are there, the voters are there, majority of the people are with us and the tide is in favour of the APC."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)'s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, vindicated the ruling party’s claim that the opposition was working with some officials of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to compromise the presidential and National Assembly elections.

Oshiomhole, who addressed reporters on the night of Tuesday, February 19, said it had become clearer that the only mission of the PDP's candidate is to cause confusion in the electoral system so that he would become president.

The APC chairman accused Atiku of wanting to rule at all cost even it means presiding over graves.
