A 12-year-old boy, alongside eight other persons, including a member of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have been abducted by yet to be identified gunmen in Pegi Community, a resettlement area in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

According to reports, the victims were abducted by gunmen who dressed in military camouflage on Monday October 7th at about 8pm.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the FCT police command, DSP Anjuguri Manzah, in a statement released today, said the command is making concerted efforts to rescue the victims.
